Can I really be leaving tomorrow?

This blog will follow my adventures in Ireland from Jan 4 to May 31st. I'll be studying at the National University of Ireland, Galway and exploring the beautiful Emerald Isle. I really can't explain how stoked I am.

Talk about surreal, I can't believe I leave tomorrow... or more like in 16 hourrs!

The Plan: Tomorrow, Jan 4 depart from KC to Philadelphia at 4 pm. Then leave Philadelphia at 9 pm and arrive in Dublin at 8 or 9 the next morning, I can't remember, it's too late as I type this.

Once in Dublin, take a bus to the Avalon Hostel where I will stay the night and meet up with Meghan Higginbotham and her brother for my first night in Ireland and their last.

Tuesday the 6th, take a bus from Dublin to Galway. Take a taxi from bus station in Galway to my apartment. Check in, and pass out and let jet lag take over.

Explore Galway once I wake up. Figure out how to walk to the University from my apartment. Find closest grocery store.

The 7th I think we have orientation... although I have no idea what time or where exactly. Methinks I need to email someone at NUIG.

Note to self: stop waiting til the day before to pack. I've done it with every trip so far: Nicaragua, Mexico, Costa Rica, and now Ireland. I've either got to stop this or just get faster at the last minute packing.

My goal: post regularly with awesome photos! Have a freaking awesome time! And somehow do the whole school thing whilst I enjoy the Irish experience.

Now I've gotta go get some sleep!
